West Trax Announces Powerful SAP Optimisation Aid

West Trax, the provider of services focused on optimising value throughout the life-cycle of SAP systems, announces KPI Optimiser® Plus, an extension to its portfolio of SAP optimisation and benchmark services. The current KPI Scan® and KPI Optimiser® services provide analyses that identify the potential to reduce costs and improve business processes. These services particularly focus on opportunities to increase business process standardisation and eliminate redundant and unnecessary custom code.

KPI Optimiser® Plus combines the results of KPI Optimiser® Custom Code and Business Processes analyses to automatically identify Standard SAP functionality, already available in a system that could replace custom code programs. It does this by mapping custom code programs against available Standard applications to provide a detailed analysis and definition of candidate programs for conversion. Clients are presented with the results including recommended action and implementation plans.

The results of over 900 analyses conducted to date by West Trax indicate that 70% and more of the paid for, available, SAP Standard programs were not used. Up to 45% of the programs in analysed systems were custom code. 40% or more of the custom programs were unused and 30% or more of the custom programs could be replaced by SAP Standard.
